We invite you to visit two great cities of Russia: Moscow - its ancient (and current) capital, and St. Petersburg - the Northern Imperial capital of Russia.
These two cities, are so different in their history and flavor, together provide a broad perspective of the Russian experience. The Golden Cupolas of Russia's medieval churches, Red Square and the mighty walls of the Kremlin, the lavish Palaces of the Romanovs and the greatest art collections of the Hermitage await for you on this journey through Russia. Led by the most knowledgeable and experienced guides, this Tour will introduce you to the cultural essence of those two fascinating cities as well as to modern Russian life.

Welcome to Moscow, the largest city in Russia and the center of its political and economic life. Upon arrival your private English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at the exit gate of the airport to transfer you to the hotel. We recommend that you rest this evening. Our guide will advise on the best restaurants nearby for dinner.
MOSCOW/City-Tour, Moscow metro, Red Square and Kremlin
Enjoy a full day’s sightseeing Tour of Moscow: from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Bolshoy Theatre, New Maiden Convent, Kitai Gorod merchant area to the Vorobievy Hills with a fantastic panoramic view of the city. Take a short ride on Moscow's Metro System, art-adorned subway, decorated as palace, with marble arches, crystal chandeliers, sculptures and mosaics - glorious remnants of the Soviet era.
Get to the Heart of Moscow - Red Square and take a Tour of the Kremlin - the Citadel of Russia. This fortified complex of ancient churches, palaces, and government buildings dates back to 1156. Our Tour will take you inside of the Annunciation, Assumption and Archangel's Cathedrals. You'll also visit the Armoury Chamber with its amazing collection of tsarist paraphernalia. By your request, we will be happy to arrange your visit to the Diamond Fund, a separate collection of Russia’s most valuable gems, including the diamond-encrusted coronation crown of Catherine the Great and the 190-carat Orlov Diamond, and to to the famous St. Basil Cathedral.
MOSCOW/ Tretyakov Gallery, Train to ST. PETERSBURG
in the morning visit to the Tretyakov State Gallery - House of the greatest Collection of Russian art, including thousands of works from the 11th to 20th centuries. The gallery was founded by Tretyakov, a wealthy 19th century merchant as a private collection and later donated to the city.
After lunch - transfer to the rail station and board the high-speed train to St. Petersburg (departure at 4:45 pm), enjoying dinner on board.
Upon arrival (8:45 pm), meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.
ST.PETERSBURG/City-Tour, Visit to the Peter-and-Paul Fortress, the St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Yusupov palace

In the morning - depart for the city-tour, an excellent introduction to the one of the largest city of Russia and one of the most beautiful city of the World. From the comfort of a car, mini-van or a bus observe all the main highlights of St. Petersburg: the Mariinsky Theater, , the Winter Palace, the Palace Square, the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, the Bronze Horseman Statue, the Peter's Log Cabin, the Cruiser Aurora, the Smolny Convent, the Nevsky Prospect, the Square of Arts and more.
Late morning and afternoon - visit to the Peter & Paul Fortress;the majestic St. Isaac’s Cathedral; and to the Yusupov Palace, where the murder of Gregory Rasputin took place in December 1916. Built by French architect Jean-Baptiste Vallin de la Mothe in the 1770s, it was once the primary residence of the House of Yusupov, a wealthy family of Russian nobles, known for their philanthropy and art collections.
ST. PETRSBURG/Peterhof and the Hermitage Museum
This morning drive (1 hour approx.) to the Peterhof - the Russian Tsar's 'Versailles', one of the most impressive and ornate residence, with the largest functioning 18th century fountain complex in the world.
Walk through the delightful formal gardens, past cascades and fountains and visit the Palaces in the grounds:
Monplaisir Palace (May – October), or
Grand Palace of Peterhof (October – May)
Take a Hydrofoil trip (35 min) from Peterhof to the Hermitage pier (May - October), or drive back to the city (October - May)
In the afternoon take a 2-hours guided Tour of the State Hermitage Museum - Russia's premier museum and one of the finest art collections in the world. After Tour, explore The Hermitage on your own or visit the General Staff building across from Winter palace to enjoy the French Impressionists exhibition.
ST. PETERSBURG/Pushkin, the Catherine Palace
Take a 1-hour morning drive to the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo). Enjoy a lovely, privately-guided walk through the Gardens and visit the grandiose Catherine Palace, built in the mid-18 century - the summer residence of the Tsars.
Admire the dazzling Ballroom and the enfilade of rococo halls including the legendary 'Amber Room', now recreated since its 'loss' during the World War II.
After lunch at a local restaurant with traditional folk entertainment, explore Pavlovsk Great Palace, an 18th-century Russian imperial residence built by Paul I of Russia.
On the last day of your journey our guide and driver will take you to the airport and assist with your baggage and departure.
During this Tour, we can also arrange an evening entertainment for you, with visit to the ballet, opera, symphony or folk-show, a boat-ride on the canals, or dinner at one of many Moscow's and St. Petersburg's trendy restaurants (we are happy to provide recommendations if needed).
